Using Persistent “Untitled” Documents
TypeMetal supports macOS’s “Auto Save” feature, which automatically saves each of the new documents you create, before you’ve even given them file names. So just as you can collect plain text and rich text notes in Untitled TextEdit windows that persist automatically, you can keep scraps of HTML in Untitled windows using TypeMetal.
If you Quit TypeMetal or log out with windows still open, TypeMetal will automatically reopen your windows the next time you launch it. It does this for both Untitled and permanently saved documents alike.
When you attempt to close a window that contains Untitled HTML, TypeMetal will prompt you to save its contents to a permanent location (or, if you wish, discard the window’s contents, by clicking “Don’t Save”).
