Basic Typing and Editing
Typing simple text works much the same as in other text editing apps. You can insert special characters using the character palette (Edit → Special Characters…).
TypeMetal condenses runs of whitespace into HTML-appropriate single spaces, as explained under Whitespace Handling. You can insert additional spaces, if desired, by using non-breaking spaces.
All operations in TypeMetal are Undo-able and Redo-able. As in all other apps, type Command+Z (or choose Edit → Undo) to undo an edit, and type Command+Shift+Z (or choose Edit → Redo) if you change your mind and want to redo the edit.
Once you’re comfortable entering text, you’ll want to know how to add HTML elements.
