Working with HTML Files

TypeMetal is both a handy HTML notepad and a serious structured writing tool, designed to help you produce modern, semantic, streamlined HTML with ease and agility. Whether you’re crafting a large body of sophisticated, semantic HTML, or dashing off some quick HTML for a blog post or website comment, TypeMetal makes it easy.

TypeMetal can open and edit arbitrary general HTML files, presenting them for fully-styled visual editing using their associated CSS stylesheets. It enables you to work with your content as readers will see it, and maintain focus on what you have to say.

With features ranging from intuitive keyboard shortcut behaviors for basic text emphasis (⌘B and ⌘I), linking (⌘K), and quickly maniuplating headings and lists, to more advanced tools for creating arbitrary elements and editing their attributes, working with images, inspecting your HTML markup, and grasping and manipulating elements with help from the path bar and “Show Structure” mode, TypeMetal is ready to help you breeze through once complicated HTML cleanup and authoring tasks.
