We’ve been living on pre-release Beta builds and exercising features, to make sure everything keeps working smoothly when you update to the latest and greatest macOS. TypeMetal 2.2.6 hit the App Store a couple of weeks ago to touch up some minor appearance issues, and all is looking good for users to take the leap and upgrade to Ventura!
Beginning life as a revolutionary visual HTML editor unlike any other, TypeMetal grew into a fully integrated WordPress publishing app in version 2, while retaining all of its standalone-HTML-file-editing capabilities. Now, the same HTML authoring features that underpinned the writing of TypeMetal’s comprehensive in-app Help pages (mirrored here as the TypeMetal User Guide) are powering brainstorming and feature design write-ups for new features.
I’d like to thank everyone around the world who’s purchased and used TypeMetal and provided valuable encouragement, feedback, and suggestions. Getting to develop this project has been a dream come true, and I’m grateful for your support and tremendously excited about the features and upgrades yet to come!
There are three days left to get TypeMetal 2 for the exceptional deal of 33% off its regular price. You can find TypeMetal on the Mac App Store, a short “What’s TypeMetal?” overview video here, and a full-featured Demo version you can try out to see what TypeMetal can do for you.
Thank you, TypeMetal users, for the amazing run so far! — I look forward to great announcements yet to come!

Now through the end of June, you can get TypeMetal — the extraordinary visual HTML editor and WordPress publishing app — for 33% off the regular price on the Mac App Store! Take advantage of this great opportunity to add TypeMetal’s capabilities to your writing and Web-publishing toolkit, at a rare discounted price.
We’re delighted to announce that a full-featured 21-day free “Demo” version of TypeMetal is now available! You can download it here!
One of the most challenging aspects of introducing a new class of writing app to the world is communicating a clear and complete picture of what it is and can do, and we know there’s no more direct way to get to know an app than to use it hands-on. Now you can try TypeMetal’s full feature set — from the ability to open arbitrary HTML files and edit and inspect their content visually, to integrated WordPress content authoring and publishing — free for 21 days.
If WordPress publishing is your area of interest, the free Demo version offers a great way to confirm that TypeMetal can sync with your WordPress site(s). (If you run into any trouble, please let us know! — We’re here to help!) The Demo version offers the same WordPress sync, authoring, and publishing capabilities as the purchased edition.
We hope you’ll enjoy seeing firsthand what TypeMetal can do! When you’re ready to make it an enduring part of your authoring workflow, you can find it on the Mac App Store!
