Nine years ago today, TypeMetal 1.0 made its appearance on the Mac App Store!
Beginning life as a revolutionary visual HTML editor unlike any other, TypeMetal grew into a fully integrated WordPress publishing app in version 2, while retaining all of its standalone-HTML-file-editing capabilities. Now, the same HTML authoring features that underpinned the writing of TypeMetal’s comprehensive in-app Help pages (mirrored here as the TypeMetal User Guide) are powering brainstorming and feature design write-ups for new features.
I’d like to thank everyone around the world who’s purchased and used TypeMetal and provided valuable encouragement, feedback, and suggestions. Getting to develop this project has been a dream come true, and I’m grateful for your support and tremendously excited about the features and upgrades yet to come!
There are three days left to get TypeMetal 2 for the exceptional deal of 33% off its regular price. You can find TypeMetal on the Mac App Store, a short “What’s TypeMetal?” overview video here, and a full-featured Demo version you can try out to see what TypeMetal can do for you.
Thank you, TypeMetal users, for the amazing run so far! — I look forward to great announcements yet to come!
